Common use of Step 5, Formal Clause in Contracts

Step 5, Formal. If the grievance is not satisfactorily adjusted at Step 4, the grievant may appeal in writing to the Board of Trustees within five (5) work days of the receipt of the response from Step 4. At the grievant's request the Board will schedule a closed session or public hearing at the next regularly scheduled public meeting in compliance with the Xxxxx Act, or schedule a special meeting within the same time period. Within five (5) work days after this meeting, the Board of Trustees will communicate to the grievant, in writing, its decision on the grievance. The decision of the Board will be final.
