Common use of Step III – Formal Clause in Contracts

Step III – Formal. a. If the action taken does not resolve the grievance to the satisfaction of the grievant, the grievant may appeal in writing to the Superintendent on Appendix A by stating under “Remedy Sought” the reason the grievant disagrees with the disposition at Step II. b. Failure to file such appeal within five (5) days from receipt of the written disposition at Step II shall constitute a waiver of the right to appeal. c. Upon request, a conference shall be conducted by the Superintendent within five (5) days. d. The Superintendent shall dispose of the grievance in writing, with reasons stated, within five (5) days after the conclusion of said conference. Copies of the written disposition shall be sent to the Association and the building principal.
