Common use of Storm Day Clause in Contracts

Storm Day. Teachers are not required to appear for work on days that school is closed because of a storm or other “Act of God,” and shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits. It may be necessary to make up these days later in the year as required to avoid loss or reduction of full funding (e.g. state aid, etc.). Such make-up days shall be worked without additional pay or benefits.
