Common use of Storm Day Clause in Contracts

Storm Day. (a) An employee prevented from reporting to work because of hazardous road conditions caused by weather conditions shall report his/her absence to the Employer and suffer no loss of pay on account of such absence. (b) When a school has been closed during an employee's work day due to weather conditions such an employee shall be entitled to leave his/her workplace without loss of pay after consultation with his/her immediate supervisor. Such right to leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
