Common use of Storm Sewers Clause in Contracts

Storm Sewers. Storm sewers, including manholes, catch basins and connections shall be installed in the locations and of such sizes as indicated within the Land on Schedule “A-1” of engineering plans prepared by the Engineer and approved by the City and set out on Schedule “D” attached hereto. Storm sewers shall be designed in accordance with current design data of the Municipal Works Department and shall properly drain the Land on the said Plan and accommodate the drainage from abutting land and runoff from the roofs of buildings erected in the said Plan as indicated on Schedule “A-1” attached hereto and shall be constructed to an adequate outlet. Storm sewer pipe shall be PVC or concrete with rubber gasket joints. Bedding shall be Class “B” unless otherwise stipulated, consisting of approved crushed granular material mechanically compacted to a minimum Xxxxxxx Density of 95% in 150mm layers under the pipe to a depth of one-third (1/3) the outside diameter, such depth being a minimum of 150mm and maximum of 300mm. Like material shall be placed in 150mm layers, mechanically compacted, on both sides of the pipe and to a depth of 300mm above the pipe, to the full width of trench, which, at the top of pipe, shall not exceed 600mm plus the outside diameter of the pipe.
