Programs that have eligible Certificate of Completion (Cert 1) are Automotive, Child Care & Development, Computer Science, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Emergency Medical Professions, Fire Science, Management, Office Administration, or Welding B. TSI rules state that students registering in a Level-One certificate or less are exempt from the TSI Assessment requirements. A high school student is eligible to register in career and technical/workforce education dual credit courses without having to demonstrate college readiness on an approved TSI Assessment if the student has permission of the high school. C. Students registering in career and technical/workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level-Two certificate or higher must meet the same dual credit eligibility criteria as students registered in academic dual credit courses. D. Students coming from a non-traditional program of study (i.e., a home school, private or a non-accredited high school) and seek dual credit/concurrent courses at Hill College must satisfy paragraphs A through C of this subsection. E. To be eligible for registration in a dual credit course, students must meet all the college’s regular prerequisite requirements designated for that course. (i) if the student achieves a Level 2 final recommended score, as defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to prescribe assessment instruments with a statewide passing standard. The initiative allows an institution to determine when a Agency (TEA), on the English II State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness End of Course (STAAR EOC); or
(ii) if the student is ready to perform college-level coursework. (B) Courses that require demonstration of TSI college readiness in mathematics:
(i) if the student achieves a Level 2 final recommended score, as defined by TEA, on the Algebra I STAAR EOC and passing grade in the Algebra II course; or
(ii) if the student achieves a Level 2 final recommended score, as defined by TEA, on the Algebra II STAAR EOC; or
(iii) if the student achieves one of the following scores on the PSAT/NMSQT (Mixing or combining scores from the PSAT/NMSQT administered prior to October 15, 2015 - If and the student achieves PSAT/NMSQT administered on or after October 15, 2015 is not allowable.):
(I) a combined score of 107 with a minimum of 50 on the mathematics test on a PSAT/NMSQT exam administered prior to October 15, 2015; or
(II) a score of 510 on the mathematics test on a PSAT/NMSQT exam administered on or after October 15, 2015; or
(iv) if the student achieves a composite score of 23 on the PLAN with a 19 or higher in mathematics or a mathematics score of 431 on the ACT-Aspire.
(3) A high school student is eligible to enroll in workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level 1 certificate program, or a program leading to a credential of less than a Level 1 certificate, at a public junior college or public technical institute and shall not be required to provide demonstration of college readiness or dual credit enrollment eligibility.
(4) A high school student is eligible to enroll in workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level 2 certificate or applied associate degree program under the following conditions:
(A) Courses that require demonstration of TSI college readiness in reading and/or writing:
(i) if the student achieves a Level 2 final recommended score, as defined by TEA, on the English II STAAR EOC; or
(ii) if the student achieves one of the following scores on the PSAT/NMSQT (Mixing or combining scores from the PSAT/NMSQT administered prior to October 15, 2015 and the PSAT/NMSQT administered on or after October 15, 2015 is not allowable.):
(I) a combined score of 107 with a minimum of 50 on the reading OR After test on a PSAT/NMSQT exam administered prior to October 15, 2015 – 2015; or
(II) a score of 460 on the evidence-based reading and writing (EBRW) test on a PSAT/MSQT NMSQT exam *English III EOC combined assessment in both reading and writing Level 2 TEA recommended scores administered on or after October 15, 2015; or

(C) A student who is exempt from taking STAAR EOC assessments may be otherwise evaluated by an institution to determine eligibility for enrolling in workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level-Two certificate or higher must meet the same dual credit eligibility criteria as students registered in academic dual credit courses.
D. (5) Students coming from a non-traditional program of study (i.e., a home school, who are enrolled in private or a non-accredited high school) and seek dual credit/concurrent courses at Hill College secondary schools or who are home-schooled must satisfy paragraphs A through C of this subsection.
E. To be eligible for registration in a dual credit course, students must meet all the college’s regular prerequisite requirements designated for that course. All students who participate in the dual credit/concurrent program must maintain at a cumulative GPA of at least a(1) -

Some TC C course prerequisites could require a higher cut score than those outlined by the THEC B TS I state minimum requirements.
(c) Meets all the college's regular prerequisite requirements designated for all students that course (e.g., minimum score on a specified placement test, minimum grade in a specified previous course, etc.).
(2) A high school student is also eligible to determine enroll in academic dual credit courses that require demonstration of TS I college readiness in readingreading and writing (ELAR ) under the following conditions:
(a) If the student achieves a Level 2 final recommended score, writing and math. The xxxx authorizes as defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to prescribe assessment instruments with Agency (TEA) , on the English II STAA R EO C reading and/writing; or
(b) The student achieves a statewide passing standard. The initiative allows an institution to determine when a student is ready to perform college-level coursework. B. TSI rules state that students registering in a Level-One certificate or less are exempt from the TSI Assessment requirements. A high school student is eligible to register enroll in career and technical/workforce education dual credit courses without having to demonstrate college readiness on an approved TSI Assessment if the student has permission of the high school.
C. Students registering in career and technical/workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level-Two Level 1 certificate program, or a program leading to a credential of less than a Level 1 certificate, at a public junior college or public technical institute and shall not be required to provide demonstration of college readiness or dual credit enrollment eligibility.
(5) A high school student is eligible to enroll in workforce education dual credit courses contained in a Level 2 certificate or higher must meet applied associate degree program under the same dual credit eligibility criteria conditions as students registered in academic dual credit courses.
D. (6) A student exempt from taking STAA R EO C assessments may be otherwise evaluated by an institution to determine eligibility for enrolling in workforce education dual credit courses.
(7) Students coming from a non-traditional program of study (i.e., a home school, who are enrolled in private or a non-accredited high school) and seek dual credit/concurrent courses at Hill College secondary schools or who are home- schooled must satisfy paragraphs A through (1) - (5) of this_subsection.
(8) It is recommended high school students may enroll in a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester in fall and spring courses that apply to a certificate, degree, or the core curriculum with approval from the high school and college. Exceptions to this requirement for students with demonstrated outstanding academic performance and capability (as evidenced by grade-point average, AC T or SA T scores, or other assessment indicators) may be approved by the principal or designee of the high school and the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the TC C Campus. It is recommended that students in their first semester of dual credit enroll in a maximum of two courses.
(9) Students must follow the TC C catalog "Academic Standing ' policy (see TC C college catalog).
(10) TC C may impose additional requirements for enrollment in courses for dual credit that do not conflict with this section.
(11) TC C is not required, under the provisions of this subsection.
E. To be eligible for registration in a section, to offer dual credit course, students must meet all the college’s regular prerequisite requirements designated courses for that course. All students who participate in the dual credit/concurrent program must maintain at a cumulative GPA of at least ahigh school students.
