ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. The following general eligibility and approval requirements shall apply to all Agreements. The Agreement specifies the means by which the state will provide equal opportunities to all high school students who wish to participate in the dual credit program. The Agreement: 1) specifies eligible courses, academic quality of dual credit courses, student eligibility, course approval, course requirements, required content of the form, state reporting, liabilities of parties, and student appeals; and 2) states the roles, responsibilities, and liabilities of the LEA, the postsecondary institution, student, and the student’s family.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. (a) An employee shall be eligible for short term disability benefits when he or she is incapacitated by illness, or a non-work related injury, or is hospitalized.
(b) In order to be eligible for short term disability benefits, and remain covered once approved, an employee must: (i) be under the care of a physician; and (ii) follow the treatment deemed appropriate for the illness or injury; and
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. All approvals for sabbatical leaves shall be made by the Board upon recommendations of the Superintendent. Any certificated teacher may be eligible for sabbatical leave provided he/she agrees and is eligible to fulfill the two year service requirement in the Xxxxxx Community Schools immediately following the conclusion of the sabbatical leave.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. Staff must satisfy the following eligibility criteria for a career break to be approved: Must have successfully completed their probationary period. Not be subject to disciplinary or attendance management procedures. Not be subject to investigation as part of attendance, grievance, or disciplinary process. Not take other leave in parallel to a career break Should provide at least 3 months (Support staff) or one term (Teachers) notice. The approver must be satisfied that they can cover the absence and that the career break will not negatively impact the running of the school or function. The approval of a career break is subject to the terms and condition shown in this document and is only valid with the agreement of the Head Teacher (or relevant Director for CST Staff) and the Director of People & Culture. A career break application should be made in writing to the Head Teacher or Head of Function stating: The proposed start date and end date of the career break Details of any planned employment during the career break (if known) Any other factors which need to be considered as part of the approval process. A career break can usually only be taken in one-year blocks from September to August of the following year. Other arrangements will only be agreed in exceptional circumstances.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. The MOU specifies the means by which the University and partner schools will provide opportunities for high school students who wish to participate in CCP. The MOU specifies:
1. Procedures for approving CCP courses
2. Procedures for admitting and enrolling students in CCP courses
3. Requirements for high school instructors to teach CCP Courses The general provisions of eligibility are discussed below and the specific procedures are described in Part 2.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. This Agreement specifies the means by which ECC and JATC will provide opportunities for students who enroll in the Skilled Trades program. The general provisions and specific procedures related to administering the program are discussed in the MOU.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. 4.1 The School of Graduate Research Committee is responsible for ensuring that supervision arrangements are in place prior to admission of a candidate to a higher degree by research at the University.
4.2 A Supervisor may only be appointed or removed by the School of Graduate Research Committee.
4.3 The School of Graduate Research Committee must ensure that, prior to appointment, a proposed Supervisor:
a) meets the requirements of the Regulation and Determinations of the award for which he or she is proposed as a Supervisor
b) has consented to be a Supervisor of the proposed candidate and project
c) is prepared to meet the requirements of this Policy.
4.4 The Principal Supervisor must be a research active member of academic staff of the University, and attend a research supervisors training or development seminar at least once every three years.
4.5 Associate Supervisors are usually members of academic staff or honorary researchers of the University but may be external to the University. Associate Supervisors supervising as the majority Supervisor of the higher degree by research thesis must be research active in an area relevant to the candidate’s project, and attend a research supervisors training or development seminar at least once every three years.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. General Leave must be pre-approved except for illness, injury or family sickness, which may require a physician’s statement for approval. General Leave accrued time is to be computed from hire date anniversary. Employees shall not be permitted to take general leave in excess of actual time earned. Employees shall not accrue General Leave in excess of six hundred forty (640) hours. An employee who earns General Leave hours in excess of six hundred forty (640) hours shall be paid the cash value of those additional hours in their paycheck. Employees may not use their General Leave to advance their separation date on retirement or other separation from employment.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. Any department regular faculty member is eligible to serve as chair. The chair is elected by majority vote of the department electorate, and serves subject to the consent of the District. The current chair will be eligible to run in the election.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPROVAL. Cellular telephones and services may be provided to certain Winston-Salem State University employees to conduct activities incident to their University employment that either cannot be conducted on a land-line telephone or for which it would be inefficient to use a land-line telephone. Requests for cell phones must be approved by the Chancellor or appropriate Vice-Chancellor and Winston-Salem State University’s Network, Telecommunications, and Security (NTS) group who will provide advice on the most appropriate equipment and plans.
