Student Services Department Clause Samples

The 'Student Services Department' clause defines the establishment and responsibilities of a department dedicated to supporting students within an educational institution. This clause typically outlines the range of services provided, such as academic advising, counseling, career guidance, and extracurricular support, and may specify the department's role in addressing student concerns or facilitating access to resources. By clearly delineating the functions and scope of the Student Services Department, the clause ensures that students have a designated point of contact for assistance, thereby promoting student well-being and enhancing the overall educational experience.
Student Services Department. The Student Services Department monitors registers on a daily basis. When the attendance of a student causes concern, the Student Services Manager may make a home visit or request a meeting in school to address the issues. Failure to follow the school’s requests may result in legal action being taken. The school will not authorise families to take holidays during term time. The Local Authority has a clear policy on this which the Governors have agreed to adopt. If a student is withdrawn from School for a family holiday, they lose the right to attend extra- curricular trips and other activities for a period of up to six months from their date of return to School. The Governors also reserve the right to impose fines on parents who do not follow the School’s policies in this respect.
Student Services Department. Caseloads for Special Education instructors will be established in accordance with state guidelines with considerations made based on the needs of students. Guidance Counselors will be expected to work ten (10) days (middle school counselors) or twenty (20) days (high school counselors) outside of regular teacher attendance days. Compensation for additional days will be paid at the counselor’s per diem.
Student Services Department. Grades 6-12 English/Language Arts Chairperson position will incorporate English and Reading and be deemed one discipline. ***Should attrition occur at any point in time, the district reserves the right to create additional 6 - 12 chairperson positions through consolidation.
Student Services Department. As per the other vulnerable groups we plan to create specialised promotional materials and tailored guidance on our webpages. Estranged Students - King’s College London has formed a strategic working relationship with Stand Alone and will use this as a basis to extend our current support to estranged students. We have created specialised webpages and leaflets advertising the support available at King’s. Our secondary focus has been to train staff to identify this group via current outreach activity as we recognise that many students do not identify with this phrase. Consequently we have held training sessions for the Students Union, the Widening Participation Department and Admissions. Students from gypsy and traveller communities - This is a new area of work for the university and an area we wish to explore further. As a consequence we will commission a research piece to examine the specific challenges and barriers this group faces in accessing higher education in a London context. This work will include a literature review and analysis of the terms and definition of this group, an overview of the local gatekeepers and interviews with students from these communities to provide further understanding across the HE sector. Our intention is to formalise partnerships with relevant local and national stakeholders and provide an initial research piece which will steer further work in this area.
