Summer Assignments. Employees who worked less than a 12-month schedule at the 10 time of their work-related accident will not be guaranteed summer employment while 11 participating in the Alternate Duty Program.
Summer Assignments. 1. General: Summer teaching assignments within a department shall generally be offered on a rotating basis so that all full-time members of the department shall have summer teaching opportunities equally without preference as to rank, contract type, tenure status, and years of service subject to the need of the department for teaching. If an individual’s assigned course does not meet the required minimum enrollment and the course is not taught as a result, the individual will be considered as having received a summer teaching opportunity. An individual may not teach in the summer as a substitute for teaching in one or more semesters of the regular academic year.
Summer Assignments. When work normally and customarily performed by employees is available to be performed at times other than during the regular September – June academic year, the work shall be offered to employees in the appropriate classification(s) as provided in this Section.
Summer Assignments. When work normally and customarily performed by Bargaining Unit employees is required to be performed at times other than during the regular September-June academic year, the District will fill positions consistent with Education Code Section 88001.
Summer Assignments. 9.18.1 All employees who are not assigned during the summer vacations shall be considered for temporary summer work if they indicate their interest by applying for such work by May 1, or by responding to specific notices of posted summer vacancies. Only in-District employees will be employed unless an outside applicant has needed skill(s) which no in-District applicant possesses.
Summer Assignments. Para educators shall normally be assigned to work during the regular school year. Summer school assignments are at the discretion of the Board.
Summer Assignments. The District shall establish all summer assignments by a date which will enable bus drivers to bid for assignments prior to the traditional summer break. The District shall post these assignments for a minimum of five (5) work days. Drivers that bid on a summer school route or other transportation assignments must be able to drive or work that route or assignment the entire duration of summer school unless extenuating circumstances occur. In unusual circumstances or if unavailable to attend this meeting, the driver may indicate a designee to make this selection for him or her. In the absence of a designee, the selection may be made by the appropriate association representative.
Summer Assignments. Students with Annual or Summer Only contracts may be re-assigned depending on the need for space for summer conference groups and special summer contracts.
Summer Assignments. A. In the event the EMPLOYER desires the services of employees during the summer, appointments will be made on the basis classification seniority, provided the employee has the present ability and physical fitness to perform the work.
Summer Assignments. All faculty teaching during summer quarter are classified as associate faculty unless their full-time contract includes summer quarter. Summer classes shall be scheduled in accordance with the department’s written policy and CBA 2.3.5.
