Common use of Summer Work Opportunities Clause in Contracts

Summer Work Opportunities. The District has need from time to time to hire individuals to perform temporary work assignments during the summer months. These temporary work assignments are paid at a rate determined by the District and do not include any entitlement to fringe benefit payment. In the event that such extra work assignments are available, the District agrees to notify the Union of the positions, and to offer these temporary work assignments to bargaining unit personnel by seniority and job description skill level prior to hiring outside personnel to perform the work.
