Paid Breaks. 1. A twenty (20) minute break for Employees working at least four (4) continuous hours per day. 2. A fifteen (15) and a twenty (20) minute break for Employees working at least seven (7) continuous hours per day. 3. Employees may take breaks together, with supervisor approval, as long as the meal service is not interrupted, and it does not add cost due to workflow.

Paid Breaks. A paid break of not more than fifteen (15) minutes shall be granted to each employee for every four (4) hours of regularly scheduled work performed except during an unusual situation or emergency created beyond the control of the College. Such rest periods shall be a time detached from lunch periods, the beginning and end of shifts, and although scheduled at the discretion of the Chief of Police/Designee shall be taken near the midpoint of each half-shift when practicable.
Paid Breaks. 2.8.1 Employees shall be entitled to paid breaks in accordance with 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 below. 2.8.2 Employees working 5 hours or more per day may, on any such day, take either: (a) one 20 minute break in the morning; or (b) one 10 minute break in the morning and one 10 minute break in the afternoon. The timing of the break(s) shall be such that it takes into account: (i) That the operational needs of the school are not compromised; and (ii) That the employee concerned is afforded a genuine break. 2.8.3 Employees working 2 hours or more but less than 5 hours per day are entitled to either one break of 10 minutes in the morning or one break of 10 minutes in the afternoon. The timing of the break shall be such that it takes into account: (i) That the operational needs of the school are not compromised; and (ii) That the employee concerned is afforded a genuine break. 2.8.4 Coffee, tea, sugar and milk shall be provided at all meal intervals and rest periods.
Paid Breaks. (a) The Employer shall provide one (1) paid break of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of not less than three point eight seven (3.87) hours or; (b) The Employer shall provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid breaks or one thirty (30) minute paid break per full shift of seven and three-quarter (7 3/4) hours. These options are subject to the operational requirements of the Employer. (c) If an Employee is required to work or recalled to duty during their paid break, the Employer shall be given a full paid break later in their shift, or, where that is not possible, shall be paid for the break at two times (2X) the Employee's Basic Rate of Pay.

Paid Breaks. ESP’s who work eight (8) hours per day (an eight-hour shift) shall receive one scheduled paid fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours of scheduled work. The clock times of these breaks shall be determined by the Employee’s immediate supervisor, and may not coincide with the beginning or ending of the Employee’s shift. The breaks may not be taken concurrently, during the same four hour period, accumulated, or extended.
