Common use of Sunset Provisions Clause in Contracts

Sunset Provisions. a.) These guidelines and criteria are effective upon the date of their adoption and will remain in force for two years, at which time all reinvestment zones and tax abatement contracts created pursuant to its provisions will be reviewed by the County to determine whether the goals have been achieved. Based on that review, the guidelines and criteria will be modified, renewed or eliminated. b.) This policy applies only to the tax abatement under the provisions of Chapter 312. Property Redevelopment and Tax Abatement Act, Texas Tax Code.
