Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work. Any claimed abuses will be referred to the Grievance Procedure. Where possible, the shop xxxxxxx will be notified. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work until after all rea- sonable efforts have been exhausted to have the work covered.
ENVIRONMENTAL ATTRIBUTES AND NYS EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 4 New York State is committed to environmental sustainability and endeavors to procure products with reduced environmental impact. One example of this commitment may be found in Executive Order No. 4 (Establishing a State Green Procurement and Agency Sustainability Program), which imposes certain requirements on state agencies, authorities, and public benefit corporations when procuring commodities, services, and technology. The Executive Order No. 4 specification for lubricating oil, high detergent, adopted in February 2009, for example, specifies that where lubricating oil with post-consumer material content is available at a competitive cost and meets the entity’s form, function and utility requirements, all affected state entities shall, to the maximum extent practicable, purchase lubricating oil that meets or exceeds a minimum percentage of post-consumer material content by weight of 55 percent. State entities subject to Executive Order No. 4 are advised to become familiar with the specifications that have been developed in accordance with the Order, and to incorporate them, as applicable, when making purchases under this Contract.
LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.
Supervisor A. Within ten (10) business days from the occurrence of the matter on which a complaint is based, or within ten (10) business days from his/her knowledge of such occurrence, an employee shall file a formal written grievance. Three copies of the departmental grievance form shall be completed by the employee stating the nature of the grievance and the remedy requested from his/her departmental Management. The employee shall submit two copies to his/her immediate supervisor and retain the third copy.
Workload Management 11.1 The parties to this Agreement acknowledge that employees and management have a responsibility to maintain a balanced workload and recognise the adverse affects that excessive workloads may have on employee/s and the quality of resident/client care.
Input Control The possibility to subsequently verify and determine whether, and by whom, personal data was entered into, changed or removed from data processing systems must be ensured. • Definition of entry authorisation • Logging of logins
SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL All supervisors and foremen shall be excluded from the bargaining unit and will not perform any work which falls within the scope of this Agreement. When supervisors and foremen are appointed, a notice to that effect will be posted and maintained on a bulletin board.
TTOCs CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS 1. Where a TTOC is authorized by the local union or BCTF to conduct union business during the work week, the TTOC shall be paid by the employer according to the collective agreement.
Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:
Supervisory Authority The parties recognize the supervisor’s authority to approve or deny paid or unpaid time off based upon the operational needs of the department. Time off will be granted in a manner that minimizes operational hardship.
