Common use of Supplementary Card Clause in Contracts

Supplementary Card. The Bank may issue a supplementary Card to a Cardmember (other than the Account Holder) at the joint request of the Account Holder and a Cardmember. The Account Holder shall be liable for the use of both the Account Holder's Card and any supplementary Cards issued to Cardmembers (other than the Account Holder) at the joint request of the Account Holder and the Cardmembers. The Account Holder shall be jointly and severally with a Cardmember (to which the Charges relate) liable for the total amount of Charges due to the Bank in respect of the Card Account. The supplementary Card is valid for so long that the Card is valid. Upon the termination of the Card for whatever reason, the use of the supplementary Card shall also terminate. At all times the supplementary Cardmember shall be able to utilise the supplementary Card provided that the aggregate Charges on the Card and the supplementary Card do not exceed the Cardmember’s credit limit and the customer credit limit and the Charges to the supplementary Card do not exceed the credit limit assigned to the supplementary Card (where applicable). If the Account Holder has nominated a separate credit line for the supplementary Card, all amounts charged to the supplementary Card shall be transferred to the Account Holder Card Account at the next statement date. As such and subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the supplementary Cardmember shall be able to utilise the supplementary Card up to the whole amount of the supplementary Card nominated credit limit after the date of the statement.
