– SUSPENSION OF THE CONTRACT Without prejudice to the Agency's right to terminate the Contract, the Agency may at any time and for any reason suspend execution of the tasks under the Contract or any part thereof. Suspension shall take effect on the day the Contractor receives notification by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt or equivalent, or at a later date where the notification so provides. The Agency may at any time following suspension give notice to the Contractor to resume the work suspended. The Contractor shall not be entitled to claim compensation on account of suspension of the Contract or of part thereof.
City's Right to Proceed In the event this contract is terminated pursuant to Paragraph 8, then the City may take over the work and prosecute the same to completion, by contract or otherwise, and Contractor and its sureties shall be liable to the City for any costs over the amount of this contract thereby occasioned by the City. In any such case, the City may take possession of, and utilize in completing the work, such materials, appliances and structures as may be on the work site and are necessary for completion of the work. The foregoing provisions are in addition to, and not in limitation of, the rights of the City under any other provisions of the contract, city ordinances, and state and federal laws.
SUSPENSION OF THE WORK 1. The State, at any time, may suspend all or any part of the services of the Engineer. In such event, the Engineer shall be given notice of such suspension in writing by registered or certified mail to the Engineer's address as furnished to the State for purposes of receiving notices under this contract, by email to the Engineer’s email address as furnished to the State for the purpose of notices, by facsimile transmission telecopy (fax) to the Engineer’s fax number as furnished to the State for the purpose of notices, or by hand delivery.
Right to Pursue Other Remedies Not Impaired The right of a person to prompt and equitable resolution of a complaint filed under this policy shall not be impaired by the person’s pursuit of other remedies, e.g., criminal complaints, civil actions, etc. Use of this grievance procedure is not a prerequisite to the pursuit of other remedies and use of this grievance procedure does not extend any filing deadline related to the pursuit of other remedies. If a person is pursuing another remedy subject to a complaint under this policy, the District will continue with a simultaneous investigation under this policy.
Termination and Suspension of the Contract 27.1. The Competent Body shall suspend the Contract in a binding order if: o The License is suspended; o There is a direct threat to life or health of the people working or residing in a zone influenced by the operations under the Contract;
Right to Work For purposes of federal immigration law, you will be required to provide to the Company documentary evidence of your identity and eligibility for employment in the United States. Such documentation must be provided to us within three (3) business days of your Start Date, or our employment relationship with you may be terminated.
Right to Views Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to limit, impair or affect the right of any employee or representative of an employee to the expression or communication of a view, complaint or opinion on any matter so long as such action does not interfere with the performance of the duties of employment as prescribed in this Agreement or circumvent the rights of the exclusive representative.
STATE's Right to Suspend the Operations The STATE and/or the STATE's Authorized Representative has the authority to suspend portions or all of the operations due to causes including, but not limited to:
Right to Privacy 89. Employees will have a reasonable expectation of privacy when a department formally allows employees a closed work area as a locker and/or desk drawer with an individual key.
No Waiver of Sovereign Immunity or Powers Nothing in this agreement will be deemed to constitute a waiver of sovereign immunity or powers of licensee, the Xxxxxxxxxx County Commissioners Court, or the Xxxxxxxxxx County Judge.
