Teacher Benefits. 1. The Board shall provide a fringe benefit program to comply with Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. 2. The Board shall also provide the opportunity for each employee to execute a salary reduction agreement, once annually. Once the annual allocation is made for each selected benefit, the only change which will be allowed is for a qualifying event as defined by the IRS. Each employee executing a salary reduction agreement for benefits shall allocate an annual sum to be used for the purchase of benefits approved by the negotiations committee. A benefits committee (see 5.I.7), appointed by the Association and Administration, will provide a recommendation prior to negotiations. Participation in the plan will be governed by the plan document guidelines and regulations. 5. Upon retirement, resignation, or reduction in staff from the district, a teacher shall be reimbursed for accumulated sick leave at the rate of one-half the current substitute daily rate of pay. If a teacher should die while in service to the district, such an amount shall be paid to his/her beneficiaries. 6. The Board will contribute seventy-five dollars ($75) annually to a health club membership. Only teachers that belong to a health club are eligible for this board contribution. 7.
