Duration Period This Agreement shall be effective for the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010. The Association's right to negotiate a successor Agreement is recognized under the provisions of Article II. This Agreement shall not be extended orally, and it is expressly understood that it shall expire on June 30, 2010, unless it is extended in writing by both parties.
Special Enrollment Period An eligible individual and eligible dependents may be enrolled during special enrollment periods. A special enrollment period may apply when an eligible individual or eligible dependent loses other health coverage or when an eligible individual acquires a new eligible dependent through marriage, birth, adoption or placement for adoption.
Break Period All employees shall be permitted a fifteen (15) minute rest period both in the first half and the second half of a shift of more than six (6) hours duration. If the shift is six (6) hours or less but more than two (2) hours duration one break period is permitted.
Meal Period A Contractor shall schedule an unpaid period of not more than 1/2 hour duration at the work location between the 3rd and 5th hour of the scheduled shift. A Contractor may, for efficiency of operation, establish a schedule which coordinates the meal periods of two or more crafts. If an employee is required to work through the meal period, the employee shall be compensated in a manner established in the applicable Schedule A.
Coverage Term All insurance required herein shall be maintained in full force and effect until all work or services required to be performed under the terms of this Agreement are satisfactorily performed, completed and formally accepted by the City, unless specified otherwise in this Agreement.
year The employee shall provide medical substantiation to support her request for pregnancy leave. The request must include the beginning and ending dates of the leave and must be requested no later than thirty (30) calendar days after the birth of the child. Any changes to the leave, once approved, are permissive and subject to the approval of the department head or designee.
