Teachers elected. as Members of Parliament or Members of the Legislative Assembly shall be granted leave of absence without pay for the full term of the teacher's mandate. The teacher shall pay the full cost of any benefits maintained during the leave of absence. The period of leave would not be credited to a teacher's teaching experience.
