RIGHT OF RETRAINING [P]. 1. Upon written request within twelve (12) months of the receipt of notice of layoff under Article C.35, an employee shall be entitled to extend the provisions of re-engagement for the purpose of retraining for another teaching position in the school district. In the event that the employee elects to retrain pursuant to this Article, the Board shall amend the date of the termination notice to coincide with the period of the leave granted, or of any extension thereof. All such leave shall not count towards aggregate length of service with the Board.

  • Retraining Leave a. The University President, at her/his discretion, may grant a retraining leave to an employee for the purpose of acquiring new skills or enhancing existing skills for the benefit of the University.

  • Retraining (a) Where a skill shortage is identified, the employer may offer a surplus employee retraining to meet that skill shortage with financial assistance up to the maintenance of full salary plus appropriate training expenses. It may not be practical to offer retraining to some employees identified as surplus. The employer needs to make decisions on the basis of cost, the availability of appropriate training schemes and the suitability of individuals for retraining.

  • Civil Rights – General – 49 USC § 47123 The Company agrees to observe and comply with those requirements of the FAA set forth in Exhibit D, Federal Aviation Administration Required Provisions, as such requirements may be amended or interpreted by the FAA or the United States Department of Transportation from time to time. The Company shall comply with pertinent statutes, Executive Orders and such rules as are promulgated to ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participating in any activity conducted with or benefiting from Federal assistance. If the Company transfers its obligation to another, the transferee is obligated in the same manner as the Company. This provision is in addition to that required of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

  • Civil Rights Requirements The Recipient agrees that it must comply with applicable federal civil rights laws, regulations, and requirements, and follow applicable federal guidance, except as the Federal Government determines otherwise in writing. Therefore, unless a Recipient or a federal program, including the Indian Tribe Recipient or the Tribal Transit Program, is specifically exempted from a civil rights statute, FTA requires compliance with each civil rights statute, including compliance with equity in service requirements.

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • California Minimum Wage i. Subrecipient must follow the California enacted legislation signed by the Governor of California, raising the minimum wage for all industries (MW-2007). (AB 1835, CH230, Stats of 2006, adding sections 1182.12 and 1182.13 to the California Labor Code.) Pursuant to its authority under Labor Code section 1182.13, the Department of Industrial Relations amends and republishes Sections, 1, 2, 3, and 5 of the General Minimum Wage Order. MW- 2001, Section 4, Separability, has not been changed. Consistent with this enactment, amendments are made to the minimum wage, and the meals and lodging credits sections of all of the IWC’s industry and occupation orders. This summary must be made available to employees in accordance with the IWC’s wage orders.   • Civil Rights Compliance The parties to this Agreement are responsible for the following:

  • COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 25249 7(f) Ecological agrees to comply with the reporting form requirements referenced in California Health & Safety Code § 25249.7(f).

  • Fair Employment Practices and Americans with Disabilities Act Party agrees to comply with the requirement of Title 21V.S.A. Chapter 5, Subchapter 6, relating to fair employment practices, to the full extent applicable. Party shall also ensure, to the full extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, that qualified individuals with disabilities receive equitable access to the services, programs, and activities provided by the Party under this Agreement. Party further agrees to include this provision in all subcontracts.

  • Whistle Blowing Protection The Employer agrees to adhere to the whistle blowing protection pursuant to the Long-Term Care Homes Act (LTCHA).
