Common use of Teaching Load/Definition Clause in Contracts

Teaching Load/Definition. A load of twelve (12) credit hours per semester shall constitute a normal full-time load. A full-time load over the two (2) semesters shall consist of twenty-four (24) credit hours. While a Faculty Member normally will teach twelve (12) credit hours each semester, the parties to this Agreement recognize that there may be times when the load will be unevenly balanced over the two (2) semesters. Exceptions to normal load practices are set forth in selected sub-sections of this Article. Additional exceptions may be allowed pursuant to the written agreement of the President and XXX-XXXX.
