Technical Reports and Documentation. Definition of technical report and documentation for environmental services: a report, checklist, form, or analysis detailing resource-specific studies identified during the process of gathering data to make an environmental decision. Technical reports and documentation must be produced before an environmental document (e.g. EA) is prepared in order to identify issues early in the process. The State will determine what technical reports and documentation will be necessary for any given project. Technical reports and documentation must be prepared for the State with sufficient detail and clarity to support environmental determination(s). All technical reports must be compliant with TxDOT Environmental Compliance Toolkits, guidance, and policy. The environmental document must reference the technical reports.
