Common use of TEMPORARY ALTERNATE DUTY Clause in Contracts

TEMPORARY ALTERNATE DUTY. ‌ In accordance with RSA 281-A:23-b, employees will be provided temporary alternate work opportunities if disabled by a work-related injury or illness. The City will make every effort to utilize Temporary Alternative work opportunity if they are appropriate to the situation. As soon as the treating physician has released the employee to lighter duties than his/her current position requires, the employee will be called upon to return to employment in a temporary alternative position. Such re-assignment may be to different duties or a different work schedule and may include assignment to a different division or position within the City of Rochester subject to limitations deemed necessary by the employees’ physician.
