Temporary Shift Vacancy Definition. A temporary weekend shift vacancy occurs when: 1) a Seniority Employee, who has bid on and occupies his/her shift permanently, will take temporary leave from work for more than two (2) weeks due to injury, illness or FMLA reasons, not including vacation leave; and 2) when a vacancy, intended to be filled occurs, such as, but not limited to a retirement or separation of employment. The Parties agree to fill a temporary shift vacancy using the following procedure:
