TERM CONTRACTS. 1. The Board shall appoint teachers to term contracts only when they are filling a specific position of one (1) month or more not to exceed one (1) year, where the position is temporarily existing or is vacant due to a teacher being on leave of absence. 2. The Board agrees to notify the Union of any positions temporarily existing which the Board will be filling. Notification shall be given to the Union prior to the filling of the position. The Superintendent or their designate shall, upon request, meet with the Union to discuss the nature and circumstances of the temporarily existing position. 3. a. Term contract teachers shall be granted full-time continuing contracts of employment not later than upon the completion of fifteen (15) months aggregate service in the employment of the Board.
