Termination of employment and suspension. 14.1 Notice of termination by the school Notice of termination is provided for in the NES. For the avoidance of doubt the employment of any full-time or part-time employee may be terminated by the employer giving notice as set out in the NES or by the payment of the equivalent wages in lieu of notice or by giving part notice and part payment in lieu of notice. The employment of a casual employee working a block of more than five days may be terminated by one day’s notice.
