Common use of Termination of Health and Dental Insurance Clause in Contracts

Termination of Health and Dental Insurance. 1. Any teacher may terminate his/her health and/or dental insurance coverage at open enrollment or upon life changing event by notifying the Business Office in the Administration Center. 2. In case of termination of employment at the end of the school year, the following shall be applicable: a. The School Corporation shall continue to pay its proportionate share of the premiums for the health/and or dental insurance coverage for as long as the teacher is receiving his/her regular salary from the School Corporation. b. The School Corporation shall continue to pay the School Corporation’s share of the cost of the health and/or dental insurance premiums through August 31 for any teacher who has taught in the School Corporation through the end of the school year, but ceases to receive his/her regular salary from the School Corporation prior to August 31, provided the teacher deposits with the School Corporation such teacher’s proportionate share of the insurance premium(s).
