Common use of Termination of Probationary Staff Members Clause in Contracts

Termination of Probationary Staff Members. a) The University may terminate a probationary staff member on the basis of unsuitability for continued employment in the position, provided that the factors involved can reasonably be expected to affect work performance. The University will give one (1) months’ notice of termination of a probationary staff member. Termination of a probationary staff member in accordance with this Article shall not be regarded as discipline or dismissal for the purposes of Article 7.
