Terms of contract and payment. 2.10.1 All compensations or other sums of money payable by the contractor to the Bank under the terms of this contract shall be deducted from the Security Deposit or other dues payable or becoming payable to the contractor. Shortfall in the Security Deposit caused by such deductions shall be made good by the contractor within three working days from such deduction/s failing which the Bank shall recover interest at the simple rate of interest of 18.00 per cent (%) per annum (pa) for the amount of shortfall and the period for which such shortfall continues.

However, the written acceptance by the Reserve Bank of India of a tender will constitute a binding contract between the Reserve Bank of India and the person so tendering, whether such formal agreement is or is not subsequently executed.
