Common use of Terms of Reference Clause in Contracts

Terms of Reference. The parties acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultations and agree, therefore, that there shall be a Joint Labour-Management Committee (JLMC) comprising representatives of the Employer and representatives of the Local’s bargaining units with the purpose of fostering effective communications and labour relations between the parties during the term of this Agreement. Additionally, consultation and discussion in this forum is intended to further the “Scope and Purpose” of the parties’ 3 Collective Agreements. Accordingly, the parties have adopted the following Terms of Reference:
