Textbook and objectives consultation. 24.4.1 Within a reasonable time of written request from the Union, the District shall consult with the Union on the definition of educational objectives, the determination of the content of courses and curriculum, the standards and criteria for academic freedom, revisions to Board policies regarding student discipline, the improvement of counseling and library services, and the selection of textbooks to the extent such matters are within the discretion of the public school employer under the law. 24.4.2 Subsequent meetings, if necessary, shall be scheduled by mutual agreement at reasonable times and places. 24.4.3 Consensus reached upon these topics may be incorporated into District policies, regulations, rules or guidelines.
