The Community Oversight Board Executive Director after reviewing the circumstances of the use of force, may issue a policy advisory report or recommendation to the Chief of Police, detailing his/her conclusion as to whether the weapon discharge was within departmental policy. If the Community Oversight Board Executive Director reasonably believes that the employee’s actions may have been outside the parameters of the department’s policies, procedures, or directives, a recommendation regarding remedial training and/or corrective/disciplinary action shall be included.
