The MA Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. In accordance with M.G.L. c. 151B, §4, The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (“the Act”), CP does not discriminate against an employee due to pregnancy or a condition related to pregnancy including, but not limited to, lactation or the need to express breast milk for a nursing child. Any pregnant employee or pregnant prospective employee, or an employee or prospective employee with a pregnancy related condition, may request accommodations in order to accomplish the essential functions of their job. Upon the request of an accommodation from the employee or prospective employee, CP will engage in a timely, good faith and interactive process to determine what reasonable accommodation may be made, absent undue hardship, to enable the employee to perform the essential functions of the position. The act defines some reasonable accommodations as: • More frequent or longer paid or unpaid breaksTime off to recover from childbirth with or without pay • Offering or modifying seating or equipment • Job restructuring • Light duty • Private non-bathroom space for expressing breast milk • Assistance with manual labor and • Modified work schedule

  • COMPLIANCE WITH WORKERS' COMPENSATION ACT Contractor shall comply with the provisions of the Montana Workers' Compensation Act while performing work for the Department of Montana in accordance with 00-00-000, 00-00-000, and 00-00-000, MCA. Proof of compliance must be in the form of workers' compensation insurance, an independent contractor's exemption, or documentation of corporate officer status. Neither Contractor nor its employees are Department employees. This insurance/exemption must be valid for the entire contract term and any renewal.   • Older Workers Benefit Protection Act Executive agrees and expressly acknowledges that this Release includes a waiver and release of all claims which he has or may have under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, 29 U.S.C. § 621, et seq. (“ADEA”).   • COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS The Contractor, it’s Subcontractors, and their respective employees, shall comply fully with all applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws, ordinances, rules and regulations in the performance of the services, including but not limited to those promulgated by the City and by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In case of conflict, the most stringent safety requirement shall govern. The Contractor shall indemnify and hold the City harmless from and against all claims, demands, suits, actions, judgments, fines, penalties and liability of every kind arising from the breach of the Contractor’s obligations under this paragraph.

  • Workers’ Compensation The Contractor acknowledges the State of California requires every employer to be insured against liability for workers’ compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code. If Contractor has employees, a copy of the certificate evidencing such insurance, a letter of self-insurance, or a copy of the Certificate of Consent to Self-Insure shall be provided to County prior to commencement of work.

  • Compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act Contractor shall provide the Services in a manner that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including but not limited to Title II’s program access requirements, and all other applicable federal, state and local disability rights legislation.

  • Ordinances and Statutes Lessee shall comply with all statutes, ordinances and requirements of all municipal, state and federal authorities now in force, or which may hereafter be in force, pertaining to the premises, occasioned by or affecting the use thereof by Lessee.
