The Operations Scenario Sample Clauses

The Operations Scenario. In our version of the demonstration, we distinguish the following operations.  A person requests entry by placing an RFID card near a card reader  A Smart Office application checks that he or she is authorised to enter.  If so, a process is invoked that actuates the door opener, notes the entry on the entry database, switches on the lights, and sets the air-conditioning to an agreed level.  When somebody enters the room, the presence sensor becomes aware of this, and logs an entry in presence database. This may include knowledge of the badge owner, and of anyone not wearing a badge – or an authorised individual.  When the presence sensor indicates that there is no longer anyone in the room, this is noted in the presence log, and the services revert to the unoccupied condition.
