Theft of Tools. β Approved tools stolen from Board-owned vehicles, or from Board-owned property, shall be replaced in full unless the Board can demonstrate that the employee was negligent in their loss. The employees affected will assist the District in any investigation. Each mechanic shall be responsible to maintain an inventory of his or her tools. This inventory shall be turned into the Department of Transportation Director by September 1 of each year. During the year when a tool is added, the mechanic shall add it to the inventory list. The Department of Facilities Services agrees maintenance electronic employees will be covered by Section 1 and 2 of Article 15 until such time as personal tools are replaced by tools provided by Facilities Services.
