Three-Year Medical Education Curriculum. ‌ Schools participating in a 3-year medical education curriculum must ensure that schools and match-participating residency training programs are not entering into agreements with students regarding training positions outside of the Match. Medical schools must not: 1. Promise or guarantee (verbally or in writing) residency training positions to students; 2. Offer students “conditional acceptance,” “pre-matched,” or “matched” positions to residency training positions outside of the Match; 3. Compel, request, or require, students to commit to a specific training program prior to the release of Match results; 4. Indicate or imply a training position is secured or guaranteed before Match results are released; 5. Prevent students from exploring, applying to, interviewing with, or ranking programs of their choice.
