For the avoidance of doubt, a rank order list submitted by a program is confidential, and the NRMP will not disclose or release program ranking information that is clearly and uniquely identifiable to any applicant or medical school except in response to a subpoena or an order from a court of competent jurisdiction. The NRMP may provide such identifiable information only to reputable organizations engaged in undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate education solely for the purposes of performing joint research under strict, binding terms of a confidential data sharing agreement. At no time will the NRMP allow program ranking and/or Match outcome information that is clearly and uniquely identifiable to be disclosed in publications, presentations, and reports resulting from such research. The NRMP is authorized to release any information provided by such applicant to other matching programs for the purpose of ensuring the applicant does not match to concurrent year positions.
