Common use of Timely Return from Layoff Clause in Contracts

Timely Return from Layoff. An employee will lose their seniority if they have been laid off and are recalled to work but fail to report for work within fifteen (15) working days from the date of receiving notification of such vacancy by registered mail at their last known address. To protect their seniority, it is the employee’s responsibility to keep the WSDOT Ferries Division Human Resources Office informed of their current address and telephone number on forms provided by the WSDOT Ferries Division.
