Section 55 - Payment for Day of Injury An employee who receives Workers' Compensation will be paid by the Company for the balance of the shift on which the injury occurred. An employee who is injured at work and who, during the employee’s shift is sent to a hospital for emergency treatment by a medical officer of the Company or other member of management authorized to do so will be paid at the appropriate rate for such time as is approved by the Company medical officer.   • Overtime Premium and No Pyramiding Subject to any superior conditions, the overtime rate shall be time and one-half (1-1/2) the employee's straight-time hourly rate. Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.
