Touch Screen. KEYPADS It is possible to program the graphic interface of the keypad integrated in the Sol-P and the graphic maps visualized on it only via the Sol/STUDIO software. Once the keypad has been selected, it is necessary to select “Touch keypad” as its type. Along with the “General” section, which is the same for all keypad types, appear the following sections: • “Sol-P graphics”, for the setup of the graphics interface (backgrounds, buttons, icons) • “Sol-P maps”, for the configuration of the graphic maps which are accessed through the “Maps” option in the APPs” section (refer to Chapter 18 , Graphic map configuration). To set the modified parameters on the keypad, it is necessary to connect the PC to the keypad USB port. Touch Screen. The touch screen provides a Graphical User Interface to detailed machine functions. It is used for setting up production batches, viewing machine performance data, and for trouble shooting purposes.
Touch Screen. This is a 1 / 8-inch, thick clear plastic grid which has 64 switches, arranged in a 8 x 8 square. Pressing on the grid actuates the switch in a way similar to a membrane type key pad. However the switch clo- sure is not like a mechanical switch. When the switch is OPEN, contact resistance is approx 20 meg OHMS. When the switch is closed the resistance is a maximum of 20 k OHMS. The control interprets the reduction in resistance as switch actuation.‌‌‌‌‌ • The touch screen is held in place by double sided tape. • N ote t h at altho u g h t here are 64 in dividu al switches with a size of .4411 x .611, the control can display a larger pushbutton by combining several switches together. Pressing anyw here within the larger pushbutton activates one of the switches, causing the control to respond.
