TRAFFIC EDUCATION. 1. The compensation schedule for traffic education instructors shall be as indicated in the Compensation Schedule for Special and Supplemental Assignment in the Appendices of this Agreement. 2. There shall be no differential in rate of pay among classroom, simulator, or in-car instructors. Differentials in salary and pay increment shall be based on the following: a. Increment credit shall be granted for classroom, simulator or in-car experience gained in another Washington school district. b. Increment considerations are based on the following: 1) Instruct four (4) sections of academic diversified study and instruction of at least thirty (30) hours per section. 2) Instruct twelve (12) sections of simulation laboratory consisting of ten (10) hours per section. 3) Instruct 180 hours on-street instruction [thirty (30) students, six (6) hours each or the equivalent thereof]. 3. As professional employees the driving instructors shall have a representative voice in curriculum matters and in policies relating to the operation of the program. 4. Complete automobile insurance covering students, instructors, vehicles, observers, or other persons authorized by the instructor to be in the vehicle shall be provided by the SPS. This coverage shall include: a. Public liability and property damage; b. Collision; c. Fire, theft and comprehensive; d. Medical payments; and,
