Common use of Trainees' Expenses Clause in Contracts

Trainees' Expenses. (a) Employees who are required by the Employer to participate in in-service training or orientation courses of a duration of 30 days or less shall be reimbursed for accommodation, meals, and travel expenses according to the provisions of the Employer's current travel expense regulations. Accommodation, board, and lodging allowances for employees required to attend in-service courses of a duration of more than 30 days shall be in accordance with the Employer's current regulations pursuant to Clause 27.15 - Accommodation, Board and Lodging of the Public Service Agreement. The provisions of this clause do not apply to a new appointee to the Main Public Service where that employee is assigned to a training centre as their initial posting.
