Common use of Transfer Credits and Termination Vacation Pay Clause in Contracts

Transfer Credits and Termination Vacation Pay. (a) When an employee is transferred or appointed to another department, an employee’s vacation credit shall be assumed by the receiving department. (b) An employee who terminates during an employee’s initial six (6) months of an employee’s employment shall not be entitled to cash compensation in lieu of vacation leave. If an employee has served for six (6) months and is separated from the County service, an employee shall be entitled to cash compensation for accrued vacation leave. In case of death, compensation for accrued vacation shall be paid in the same manner that salary due to the decedent is paid.
