Transferring Into a Position Under The Collective Agreement. ‌ (a) Notwithstanding Article 22.1, an employee who transfers into a position covered by this agreement and whose current rate is higher than the maximum wage rate for their classification shall remain at that higher wage rate until such time as the maximum wage rate for their classification exceeds their wage rate. (b) An employee who transfers into a position covered by this agreement whose current rate is within the wage scale rates for their classification shall be placed at the next step above their current rate of pay.
