Common use of Transfers and Reassignments Clause in Contracts

Transfers and Reassignments. A. Transfers 1. For the purpose of this Section a transfer shall be defined as: a. a change from one work unit or work facility to another work unit or work facility in the same Department/Agency without any change in classification; or b. a substantial change in duties without a change of work unit or facility as long as the requirements for appointment are not substantially different. 2. a. An employee seeking a transfer to a different work unit shall submit a written transfer request to his/her Appointing Authority or designee prior to posting.
