Common use of Travel Log Clause in Contracts

Travel Log. If an invoice contains any travel-related expenses, then a current and completed “Invoice Travel Log” (NDOT Form 163) must be included with the invoice package. Upon pre-approval by State, Consultant may use a substitute Invoice Travel Log provided it documents substantially the same information as the current NDOT Form 163. The Travel Log must document the employee’s name, vehicle identification (if applicable), date/time of departure to the project, date/time of return to the headquarters town, locations traveled, and expenses for transportation, meals, and lodging.
