Travel to Headquarters. Mileage arising from travel between home or garage and headquarters is not normally allowed. An exception to this rule is when an employee is called back to work or when an employee works on a regular day off. In these instances, the Department shall provide reimbursement for travel from an employee’s primary residence to headquarters up to 35 miles. Mileage is not allowed for travel between home and headquarters for voluntary overtime.
