Travel While on Sick or Occupational Injury Status Sample Clauses

Travel While on Sick or Occupational Injury Status. Employees on sick or occupational injury status may not use their own or another employee's pass privileges or reduced rate travel for personal travel unless written permission is secured in advance of the travel from the appropriate supervisor or Human Resources Manager, which permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Eligible family members (and buddies if accompanied by the employee's spouse or other eligible family pass rider, when accompaniment is required) are permitted to travel while the employee is in a paid status. To allow time for family members to return from trips in progress or be notified to make alternate travel arrangements, eligible family members may continue to travel for 30 days from the date an employee’s status changes to "unpaid" (i.e., an employee has exhausted Non-Occupational Sick Time/Occupational Injury Pay).
