Common use of TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM Clause in Contracts

TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. A. As part of the University policy to encourage staff members to further their formal education, the Tuition Assistance Program for Employees was established. Under the Tuition Assistance plan, qualified Employees will receive credit on the student tuition accounts for their tuition after the appropriate forms are submitted to Total Compensation & Wellness (incidental fees, however, must be paid by the Employee). Tuition Assistance will provide for two (2) courses or six (6) credit hours, whichever is greater, per semester for two (2) semesters, and one (1) course or four (4) credit hours, whichever is greater, for one semester during the academic year. There will be no waiting period for eligibility of full-time Employees. To assure that Employees are not assessed late fee(s), participating Employees must register during the Priority Registration period. Otherwise, Open or Late Registration fees will be assessed.
