The 'Final Exam Week' clause defines the specific period during which final examinations are scheduled and administered within an academic term. Its core practical function is to ensure that all parties—students, faculty, and administration—are aware of and adhere to a standardized timeframe for final assessments, thereby promoting fairness and organizational clarity.
Final Exam Week. A. Faculty are required to offer final examinations and/or final projects to all credit students during the scheduled final examination period. All final examinations and/or final projects must be graded by the Faculty, regardless of students’ grades going into the final. The final exam requirement and schedule does not apply to science laboratory courses, Limited Access programs, or reduced length terms. B. Faculty members are to be accessible and responsive to students to support their academic success and progression. As such, Faculty are expected to be available to students during final exam week. Faculty shall adjust their office hours during this week to ensure availability to students and support end of semester grading requirements as follows: i. Faculty are to post office hours for final exam week at their office location and in the College’s Learning Management System. ii. Faculty are to post a minimum of ten (10) office hours during final exam week for the Fall and Spring semesters. iii. Out-of-office email and phone responses are not to be posted until the contractual period is complete.

Final Exam Week. Final exam beverage and snack service shall be available between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and shall begin the evening prior to the first day of exams and conclude the evening prior to the last day of exams, excluding evenings prior to non-exam days. From 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. the Contractor shall have an “Almost Midnight Breakfast” held in Memorial Hall which is a late night breakfast, unless mutually agreed upon to change the event. Each evening the Contractor will provide a snack-type service to students in the Memorial Hall Dining Room. Service will consist of snack-type items including, but not limited to, pizza, nacho bar and dessert bar, with one item featured each evening.
