TYPES AND DEFINITIONS OF LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Employees may request a leave of absence without pay by presenting a written request to their immediate supervisor along with any supporting documentation. The decision to grant a leave of absence for military service, jury duty, family medical leave (FML) and parental leave shall be as provided by state or federal law and according to the policies of the Employer. Any other unpaid leave will be at the discretion of the Employer. If an employee is eligible for FML, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted for a period of up to twelve (12) weeks in the following circumstances, for the following reasons during any calendar year:
